Why it works

The Blueprint To Getting Out Of Pain.

A True 1 on 1 Approach: For You and You Only.

From crafting a plan around you & your whole story, to a long term outlook, and aiming towards shooting past your goal instead of just reaching it... we do things differently - and it gives our clients better results.

Clinical Precision Meets Everyday Performance

After helping 100s of people get out of pain as a Rehab-Specialized chiropractor, I've taken what I've seen work first hand and refined an approach that thrives in helping active people shake their pain & get back to doing what they love.

Cynthia's Story.

When Cynthia first came to us she had chronic pain in her neck, weak & unstable shoulders, and nagging hip troubles - all to pair with a recently injured ankle.Hear how she's not only pain-free, but at age 50... feels the best she has in decades.

Why it works

The BSU Method™️

When I got over my own back injury, and started to take that same approach with clients, I realized I took the same basic framework every time. It always looked different for each person - but at the heart of it, the method was always the same. So I gave it a name; The BSU Method. The BSU Method is simple: at the root of it all, to get out of long-standing pain you need to focus on doing two things.1) Build Sh*t Up.
2) Calm Things Down.
Now, there's a whole lot of planning, details, and comprehensive knowledge of the body & specific conditions that goes alongside that - but at the core of it, that's out goal. And it gives us tremendous results.Because by not focusing on just calming things down (think icing it, rubbing it, some light stretching), you're able to actually progress far enough to make real adaptation. This is why we differ so much from traditional physical therapy or chiropractic care. We don't want you to just feel nice - we want your body to be capable of doing things again without any pain.Quickly, I want you to think of all of the things you currently can't do because of your pain.Get specific. Unable to workout consistently. Unable to go hiking in the mountains. Unable to play with your kids in the backyard. Whatever it might be, I can promise you this:You're not going to get back to doing those things by magic. You're not going to do a certain number of "feels good" treatments that one day you'll magically get back to the point of doing those things. It happens by gradually building back into those activities. A step-by-step progression that meets you at your current level, and forces you to move up the ladder 1 step at a time. That's what we mean when we focus on B.S.U. It's a realistic approach that actually looks at where you're at now and where you want get to, and figures out a step-by-step progression to do so.This looks different for everyone. Everyone's condition is different. Everyone's goals vary. That's why you can't get these results with a PT clinic that hands everyone the same print-out with the same exercises & stretches that my grandma got when she had her hip replacement. That's why our approach actually get's you to the place you want to be.Now it's not all grit & grind. That's where the "Calm things down" comes in.Especially at the early stages where everything can hurt. It's important to find out exactly what hurts, and what doesn't. What's off the table in terms of movements & positions, and what's not so bad. This allows us to progress with full force what's good (Build up).
& Gradually expose what's a little more sensitive so it can start to feel better (calm down).
While everyone's version of BSU looks different, there's a certain framework that has always yielded fantastic results if we applied it to our BSU method...

LSM Framework™️

A framework I have seen massive success with is something I call the LSM Framework: Lengthen, strengthen, mobilize. Our goal with the LSM Framework is straightforward; at all times, we want our target muscles and areas to be working on at least 1 of 3 things:- We want them to be lengthened to their full extended; meaning getting as much of a stretching stimulus as possible.- We want them strengthened, or working against enough difficulty to get stronger.- We want them mobilized, meaning introducing as many different ranges of motion & movement planes as possible.By targeting at least 1 of these 3 areas, we are able to induce a lot of stimulus, blood flow, and exposure to that area. When you've been dealing with a lot of pain to that area - this can be super effective.After-all, the goal is to build this area up so it can handle all the things you want to throw at it - without any pain.Which is funny if you compare that some rehab you might see from your traditional PT clinic.Let me give you a practical example so you can see what I mean specifically. Let's take your low back: If you have pain there and you went to see a PT or a Physio, what would they do?- some basic core work, like planks.
- maybe work on your glutes with exercises like clamshells
- a slow and easy cat/cow perhaps?
- and if you're lucky - some form of stretch.. maybe just a low effort forward fold?
No strengthening, not even close enough demands for any lengthening, and the opposite of mobilizing (all you did was stability work)Compare that to a real week of workouts from Cynthia (my client you saw above) and notice the difference:

Consistent Progression

We understand the real key that transforms your results from just "Oh, yeah I guess I feel a little better" to "Holy Sh#t... I feel like I'm 20 years old again" isn't in simply introducing new things… but continuously pushing the challenge and letting your body keep progressing to reach it.That's why we consistently change, adapt, and progressively challenge your body over the span of the program. We don't want it to start out hard, have you make great progress after 2 weeks, and then coast for the remaining time. No, we want you to make great progress, and then keep pushing the needle - forcing you to pushing further ahead with it.That's where the transformative progress is. There's a reason a lot of our clients work with me for years after we get over their initial injury - that's only just the beginning to living an entirely different life. 1 where your body isn't a limiting factor in what you can do, but rather the lightning rod that gives you endless opportunities.

FAQ:

Do I need access to a gym?

Not entirely. While we recommend gym access to have the most options in terms of you plan & program, it's entirely feasible to do everything from home or at a home gym. Just a few pieces of equipment will be necessary and all are very budget friendly. We'll work with whatever you got - not the other way around.

How long until I see results?

We always aim for making long-term progress, as that's the true end-goal. Because of this, we work with people at a minimum of 4 months.
But we expect results after just a few weeks of "building the foundation" in phase 1. Feeling better throughout the day, having less pain with day-to-day tasks - all of those are our first priority. We want those covered ASAP before moving on to the bigger goals.

What if I have specific questions at any point?

One of the highlights of our program is 24/7 text support with your coach. I've been in your exact position and understand the frustration that comes with having to wait weeks before asking your provider what's going on. We created a situation opposite to that - where at any point & any time you can message us with questions, concerns, or even just to give us an update. We are there for you whenever you need.In addition, you'll have monthly video calls where together we'll go over your progress, plan out the next steps, and answer any questions you have.

How long do I have access?

While we work together for a minimum of 4 months, you'll have access to your custom program & workouts for life. So you'll always be able to look back and see what you did, how many reps / sets / weight you used, as well as the video tutorials & feedback from us.
